Idle Musings is an admittedly self-serving venue for the expression of opinions (my opinions) about a wide and varied range of topics, from politics and entertainment to rants about our culture’s moral compass spinning out of control.
Let’s be clear right from the start: these are opinions. I do not claim to be an expert on any of the topics I write about nor do I claim to have inside knowledge that in any way elevates my opinions above those of anyone else.
That said, I do like to think that my commentary on issues is representative of the thoughts and opinions of the common man or woman who looks at the world around them and thinks someone should speak out about the crap that our noteworthy public figures and government leaders are wont to spew at times.
Conceited? Perhaps. But I can live with it.
I hope visitors to this site will find the posts thought-provoking, insightful or at least entertaining. And maybe–just maybe–will provoke them to join the conversation and comment. I invite differing opinions and truly do want people to comment and add their voice to the discourse…as long as it is something substantive and not just some lame attempt at insulting me and those others who might contribute.
